Sea. IPL player Ashutosh Sharma is currently on social media. He won his team at a time when his chances of winning were less than 5%. But this journey of Ashutosh was not easy. His hard work and long struggle is hidden behind his brilliant performance.
Siddharth Patidar, the opener of Ujjain Division cricket team and fellow player of Ashutosh Sharma, spoke to Local 18 about this. He told that both have been playing with the same team from Under-12 to Under-19. Both of them used to open for their team and have made century partnerships more than five times in important matches. When the under-16 team of MPCA won the tournament, Siddharth was the captain and both of them opened.
Ashutosh becomes middle order batsman
After winning the Vijay Merchant Trophy, Ashutosh left the opening and started playing in the middle order. Later, after getting jobs in the railway, he started playing with the railway team.
Learned cricket in Ujjain
Ashutosh Sharma originally comes from Ratlam district, but he learned the ABCD of cricket in Ujjain Division. Both played with the same team till the under-14, under-16 and under-19. Initially he used to do wicketkeeping with opening, but later he paid more attention to batting. He also went along in the BCCI camp.
Siddharth Patidar also dreams in IPL
Ujjain Division opener Siddharth Patidar was also in the IPL auction last year, but he was not bought by any team. However, he has a great record for MPCA. He has scored a double century, 13 centuries and 15 times a century. Siddharth says that his dream is to play for India and for this he is constantly working hard. They also do wicketkeeping with opening and are part of the MPCA team.
