Sydney: The Indian women’s cricket team will go to Australia for a tough tour of all formats earlier next year, which will conclude with the only Test at Waka Maidan in Perth in March. The tour will be held from February 15 to March 9, in which three T20s and the same ODI matches will also be played.

The series will start with the first T20 match in Sydney on February 15, after which the remaining two matches will be played at Manuka Oval and Adelaide Oval.

The ODI series will begin on February 24 at the Ellen Border Field of Brisbane, after which the other two matches will be played on 27 February and 1 March. The only Test will be played from March 6 to 9 at Waka Maidan in Perth.

‘Cricket.com AU’ quoted Cricket Australia as saying, ‘Melbourne Cricket Ground, which hosted day-day Ashes Test in January-February this year, was not available due to upcoming renewal works.

He said, ‘Vaka Maidan is being modernized, which will convert it into a sightseeing with 10,000 spectators, which is expected to be completed at the end of this year. Australia last played a women’s Test in February 2024 at the Waka ground when they won an innings and 284 runs over South Africa.

The report said that Cricket Australia had to transfer the series to February-March with the Cricket Board of India (BCCI) extending its women’s Premier League (WPL) from 2026 in January 2026.
