New Delhi. The Indian cricket team has announced a schedule for the tour of Bangladesh. The Board of Control for Cricket in India and Bangladesh Cricket Board announced the program on Tuesday. Team India will play 3 ODIs and three -match T20 series on Bangladesh tour. Will be played in Mirpur and Chittagong as compared to the series. The Indian team will play T20 Bilateral Series on Bangladesh soil for the first time. Team India is currently playing in the IPL. After this, India has to go on a tour of England where the Test series will be played. After returning from England, the Indian team will visit Bangladesh.
Bangladesh CEO Nizam Uddin Chaudhary said, ‘This series will be one of the most exciting and much awaited series of our home calendar. India has set standards in international cricket in all formats and cricket lovers of both countries will definitely enjoy this match. Earlier, the last bilateral series between India and Bangladesh took place in September and October 2024 in India. In that series, India did a clean sweep with Test Series 2-0 and T20 series 3-0.
Chance for young players
In 2025, the series against Bangladesh will provide a great platform to test young talent. Fatigue may be a reason after England’s busy tour in June, where India will play five matches. In this series, there will be an opportunity for the emerging players, especially those players who have shown glow in the IPL, they will get a chance to prove their talent on the international stage for the first time.
Rohit Sharma will be captain in ODI series
The Indian team will start with the ODI series on the tour of Bangladesh. The Indian ODI team is the captain of the team. The first ODI of the Series will be played in Mirpur on 17 August (Sunday). Team India will play the second match of the ODI bilateral series on this Bangladesh tour in Mirpur on 20 August (Wednesday). The third and final match of the ODI series between the ODI teams of India vs Bangladesh will be played in Chittagong on 23 August (Saturday). Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav will be in the T20 series. Team India will play a series of three T20 matches after the ODI series.
T20 series will begin on August 26
The first match of the T20 series will be played at Chittagong on 26 August (Tuesday). After ODI, India will play a series of three T20 matches.
