The engagement program took place on 31 March in a private hotel in Jind. However, it was revealed after pictures of the engagement surfaced on Tuesday night. Only people from both families joined the engagement, Amit’s elder brother Ajay is also in the army. He has gone abroad. He will come to India in October. After this, Amit and Anshul will get married in November.
Amit’s father Vijendra and Anshul’s father Kuldeep are both good friends of each other. So they turned friendship into kinship.

- Boxing started in 2007: Amit Panghal was born on 16 October 1995 in Mayna village in Rohtak district. His father Vijendra Singh is a farmer. Amit’s elder brother used to do boxing. He was the one who inspired Amit to play boxing in his childhood. In 2007, Amit started practice at Chhoturam Boxing Academy.
- Gold won in the National Championship: Amit won the gold medal at the National Boxing Championship in 2017. Amit Panghal has represented India in the Olympics 2 times. Family members say that Amit Panghal likes kheer and churma. Whenever Amit Panghal comes home, his mother Usha Devi makes kheer and churma for his son.

- BCom from Rohtak University: Anshul Shyokand, daughter of Kuldeep, a resident of Palwan village in Jind, has B.Com from Rohtak University. Anshul’s father Kuldeep is a farmer and his mother Seema is a nursing officer. Earlier Anshul’s mother Seema Rohtak was working in PGI, during which the family lived in Rohtak. At the same time, Kuldeep was acquainted with Amit’s father.
