Coach Ricky Ponting gave foreign batsmen a chance in the upper order while the aggressive Indian batter sat in the dug out.
Openers Prabhasimran Singh and Priyesh Arya for Punjab gave the team a bang of 83 and 69 runs. After his dismissal, the team management sent foreign players Glenn Maxwell and Marco Jansanson who returned out early. Due to this decision, Indian batsmen Nehal Vadhera and Shashank Singh did not get a chance to bat. Till now, while he performed brilliantly in the tournament.
