Shuchi’s father Sudhir Upadhyay is a journalist by profession. He told that he was interested in cricket, but there was no separate arrangement for girls playing cricket in Mandla. So she used to play with boys. The boys also supported him. He also played several tournaments. This increased his confidence. He worked hard in the ground.
