He said that winning gold in Brazil is the beginning of Hitesh’s game in a way. Hitesh is yet to play Olympic for the country and he is also busy preparing for this. Currently, his target is an attempt to play Commonwealth and Asian Games. Hitesh has to play too much and to get a medal for the country.

Mother Sharmila said that the happiness of the son winning gold is on the face of the whole family. Hitesh will be welcomed by feeding dal churma. Sister Chetna Gulia also expressed happiness over Hitesh’s victory. He said that the defeat of every match has been shared with him the joy and grief of victory.

Won 3 gold medals at the state level
In the final, his rival Odel Kamara of England could not get into the match due to injury. Hitesh’s sports journey started from school level. He won three gold medals at the state level at the sub-junior. After success in Haryana School State Championship 2018 and School Games 2019, he took training at Sai Center in Bhiwani. It was from here he was elected to the Indian Navy.

According to Hitesh’s father Satyavan, his son joined the Navy after tenth. He is boxing under the guidance of former star Suranjaya. Hitesh won the title at the Inter-Services Championship in September 2024. He became the national champion in the National Game of 2025. He also won a gold medal in the National Games in Uttarakhand.
