England cricket team appointed harry brook new captain succeeds Jos Buttler
England new captain: The England cricket team made a big announcement between IPL 2025. Many of his players are playing in IPL. Meanwhile, the England Cricket Board has announced the new captain. Jose Butler Champions Trophy After being out of 2025, he resigned from the captaincy of ODI and T20 format. Now Harry Brook has got the command of the team in his place. Brook has performed strongly for England on several occasions.
Butler received England captaincy in June 2022. He took charge after Ian Morgan’s resignation. England won the T20 World Cup in 2022. But after this, the team could not do anything special in the ODI World Cup 2023 and T20 World Cup 2024. England’s Champions Trophy 2025 also saw a disappointing performance. The team got out of the group stage itself. After this, Butler resigned. He was the captain of the team for about 2 years and 8 months.
Harry Brook got England captaincy –
Brook has played 44 T20s and 26 ODIs for England. He has performed well during this time. On getting the captaincy, Brook said, “It is an honor for me to be the captain of the England cricket team. Ever since I was younger and used to play cricket in Wharfdel’s Budh, my dream was to represent Yorkshire, play for England and maybe one day also captain the team. Now I have got that chance. It matters a lot to me. ”
Harry Brook has been such an over all performance –
Brook has scored 816 runs in 26 ODIs for England. He has scored a century and five half -centuries during this period. Brook has scored 798 runs in 44 T20 matches. He has scored 798 runs in this format. Brook has scored four half -centuries for England in T20. He has also played 24 Tests. During this, 2281 runs have been scored.
