Kashvi Gautam of Chandigarh joined the Indian women’s cricket team.
Chandigarh’s young all -rounder Kashvi Gautam has got a place in the Indian women’s cricket team for the first time. He has been included in the 15 -member team for the series of 3 countries between India, Sri Lanka and South Africa, which starts from 27 April in Sri Lanka.

UTCA President Sanjay Tandon said that Kashvi Gautam has become the first woman player of UTCA (Union Territory Cricket Association) wearing the Indian team’s jersey. This achievement is considered historic not only for his personal career, but also for Chandigarh and UTCA.
The tri -series will start from 27 April and run till 11 May. India will take on host Sri Lanka in its first match. Each team will play four matches and the top two teams will qualify for the final.

Reason for selection in Premier League
Kashvi has been selected in the Indian team due to his outstanding performance in the 2025 Women’s Premier League. She took 11 wickets in 9 matches playing for Gujarat giants and she was the most wicket -taking Indian bowler in the tournament. Apart from this, she is currently playing in the senior women’s multi -day tournament running in Dehradun. Where he has scored 194 runs in three matches, including an unbeaten century (106 runs). Due to fast bowling, accurate control and match winning spells, he caught the attention of the selectors.
