The Central Contract of BCCI is divided into four categories. The players involved in A+ get a salary of Rs 7 crore annually. The players involved in A get 5 crore rupees in B category. The players who are given C contract get Rs 1 crore annually.
A+ included even after ‘retirement’
The BCCI has placed Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Jaspreet Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja in the new Central Contract. Players who play in all three formats are usually included in A+. After Rohit, Kohli and Jadeja retired from T20 International, there were speculation about being out of the A+ category (which pays a salary of Rs 7 crore per annum) but the board has retained this trio.
