BCCI released high alert, ‘Stay away from Hyderabad businessman’

New Delhi. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has placed all the team owners, players, coaches, support staff and even commentators on high alert. The board has warned against a “suspicious” businessman from Hyderabad, who is trying to implicate all the people associated with IPL in corrupt activities.
According to a report by Cricbuzz, the Anti-Corruption Security Unit (ACSU) believes that a businessman from Hyderabad who is related to bookies and bookies and has a record of joining corrupt activities earlier. The IPL is trying to trap the participants. All IPL teams have been warned to report any conversation and disclose any possible contact with him.
ACSU has also alerted all IPL teams about the way suspects, which is targeting innocent people with expensive gifts as a fan. The report said, “It is being told that the suspect is trying to get closer to the IPL participants as a fan. He has been seen in team hotels and matches, where he is trying to befriend players and staff and call them to private parties. He has received information about not only team members but also their families.”
In another way, he has allegedly approached family members of IPL participants and offered to give them jewelry shops and hotels. The report added, “There are also indications that he has tried to contact relatives living abroad, often he lays his net through social media platforms.”
