New Delhi. The BCCI has taken a big decision among the IPL. The Board’s Lokpal has banned the franchise owner of a T20 league for a lifetime. However, this matter is not related to IPL. BCCI Lokpal Justice (retired) Arun Mishra has taken this decision on Gurmeet Singh Bhamrah, former co -owner of the Mumbai T20 League franchise. Bhamrah has been banned to contact Mumbai players Dhawal Kulkarni and Bhavin Thakkar for fixing during the tournament 2019 phase.
Medium Pesar Dhawal Kulkarni has played 12 ODIs and 2 T20 International matches for India. Bhamarah was now associated with the closed GT20 Canada. He is no longer a part of the Mumbai T20 League. Which is being resumed this year after suspension due to Kovid after the 2019 phase. He was the co -owner of Sobo Supersonics. The copy of the order has not been given a period of ban, but according to the BCCI’s Anti -Corruption Code (ACU), it can be anything from five years to lifetime ban.
ACU submitted its report on completion of investigation
According to the BCCI’s ACU Code, ‘The ACU submitted its report on completion of the investigation. In which he recommended that the defendant be made allegations under Article 2.1.3, 2.1.4, 2.4.1 of BCCI ACU under Article 2.5.1 and Article 2.5.2 for participants. It said, ‘ACU further recommended that appropriate orders can be passed against the defendants under the provisions of Article 4 and Article 5 of the Code. According to the ACU Code of BCCI, any crime under Article 2.1.1 or 2.1.2 or 2.1.3 or 2.1.4 will be minimum five years and maximum life ban.
Players called Bhamrah a ‘Paji’
The copy of the order states that a person named Sonu Vasan had approached Thakkar to fix the match at the behest of Bhamrah. The players called Bhamrah a ‘Paji’. According to this, the copy of the conversation shows that Sonu Vasan offered money and other benefits to Bhavin Thakkar on behalf of the defendant. Justifying the entire proposal made by the defendant, Sonu Vasan told Bhavin Thakkar that whatever decision he wants to take in this matter, Vasan will tell him to the defendant. Regarding the contact made with Kulkarni, only it has been said that his statement was ‘recorded by ACU’.
