The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced financial assistance for Afghanistan women cricketers in collaboration with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Cricket Australia (CA) and England and Wales Cricket (ECB).

The ICC said during its board meeting in Zimbabwe on Sunday, the three boards will provide financial assistance for Afghan women cricket. Also, ‘world class coaching and facilities will be provided.

21 Afghan Women’s Cricketer moved to Australia Since the arrival of the Taliban in 2021, a total of 21 Women’s Cricketers contracted by the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) left their country. After which she again gathered for a cricket match in Australia this year, which made her attention.

These without playing in Afghanistan, these women’s cricketers come to Canberra and Melbourne to come to cricket. Feroza Amiri and Nahida Sapan are one of the Afghan cricketers who took refuge in Australia. Sapan Karnegie plays for the club, while Amiri represents Dandenong.

Good training facilities and mental support will be provided ICC President Jai Shah announced the scheme. In this scheme, these players will be given money, coaching, good training facilities and mental support. India, Australia and England are also supporting this initiative.

Jai Shah said, ‘We want these players to start their cricket career again. We want to give everyone a chance to equal.
