Portugal’s 65 -year -old Joana Child has created history by landing in a 3 -match series against Norway. Joanna has become the second oldest player to debut in T20 International cricket. Before that, this record was in the name of Sally Barton of Gibraltar, who made her debut at the age of 66 years and 334 days. Child has also surpassed Andrew Brownli (62 years and 145 days) of Folland Islands and Mali Moore (62 years 25 days) of age in terms of age.
Joanna Child had a mixed performance in this series. He scored two runs in the first T20 match, while in the remaining matches he did not get a chance to bat. In the second match, he got a chance to bowl, in which he bowled four balls and gave 11 runs, but did not take any wicket. The 44-year-old Portugal team captain Sarah Fu-Ryilend praised the child and said that he is an inspiration for many cricketers of the country.
