Ajit’s dream was to play for India and IPL one day, and to make this dream come true, he showed the courage to follow difficult paths.

Ajit Kumar, who is a resident of Bibi Pardha block in Mau district, started playing cricket in 2022. But during this journey, he suffered a serious back injury, causing him to get a back injury and stayed away from cricket for about 9 months. This time was very difficult for them, because they come from a poor family. His father, Lallan Ram Mau is a driver in the municipality, and his mother Usha Devi always supported him under difficult circumstances. Ajit’s elder brothers – Arun Kumar, Varun Kumar and Harmol Kumar – also always encouraged him and inspired him to fulfill his dream.
Did not lose courage despite difficulties
Ajit Kumar started his cricket journey from Vedanta Cricket Club, where his coach Sundaram Dubey and assistant coach Meraj Khan recognized his talent. In 2022, he joined this club and impressed everyone with his hard work. However, Ajit had to stay away from cricket for 9 months due to injury, but he did not give up and returned.
Got opportunity to become a net bowler in IPL
Ajit got an opportunity to become a net bowler in the IPL when Vedanta Cricket Club coach Sundaram Dubey advised him to apply for trial. After this Ajit performed brilliantly and was selected as a net bowler for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). During the IPL 2025, whenever KKR matches in Kolkata, Ajit will get a chance to do net bowling for international players of the team.
