New Delhi: New Zealand’s right -handed medium pacer Ben Sears had kept his base prize one crore rupees in the IPL. No team showed interest in the mega auction held in November 2024 for the 18th season. The result was that the 27-year-old bowler remained unusual in the world’s most expensive T20 league.
Now Ben Sears made a lump with five wickets in the second ODI played in Hamilton against Pakistan on 2 April. On the basis of Ben Seers’ five wickets, New Zealand dismissed Pakistan for 208 runs and won the second ODI by 84 runs and also made an unbeatable lead of 2–0 in the three-match series.
For Pakistan, Faheem Ashraf scored the highest 73 runs and also shared a 60 -run partnership with Nasim Shah for the ninth wicket. Naseem scored 51 runs. This is the first ODI half -century of both. The Pakistani team was dismissed in 41.2 overs.
For New Zealand, Will Oraurki took one wicket for eight runs in the first six overs. His ball hit Pakistan captain Mohammad Rizwan twice. After this, Haris Rauf also put his bouncer on the helmet. Rauf Kanakashan (being unconscious due to injury) failed in the test and retired and Nasim took his place.
Apart from Sier’s five wickets, Jacob Dafi got three wickets. Earlier, New Zealand scored 292 runs for eight wickets, in which 99 not out of Mitchell Hey’s bat. He scored 22 runs in the last over of the innings with two sixes and two fours. But missed a run of a century. New Zealand won the first match in Napier by 73 runs. The third match will be played on Saturday at Mount Munganui on Saturday.
