The Sunrisers said in an email to the top BCCI officials that if the HCA continues to threaten in this way, especially for free pass, then they can consider holding their home matches in another state.
A top official of Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) wrote, ‘I am writing this letter expressing concern over HCA’s frequent blackmailing about Sunrisers Hyderabad team. This is happening again and again and I think now BCCI and IPL Governing Council should take prompt action. The official said that the franchise needed clarity regarding the allocation of free passes to the Sangh. Usually five percent of the total tickets are given.
‘Treasurer and secretary Sunrisers Hyderabad has been constantly threatening management’
He said, ‘We want clarity about the free tickets given by the franchise to HCA. HCA President Jagan Mohan Rao, Treasurer and Secretary Sunrisers Hyderabad have been constantly threatening the management. And they are saying that if their demands are not met, they will not allow IPL matches in Hyderabad. The team official said that if the situation does not change, then they can think of conducting the match of Sunrisers in another state.
‘This issue was raised last year’
The official further said, ‘This is the misuse of power. Last year too, this issue was raised and this time the same situation is there. If this is the condition, then the matches of Sunrisers can be done in another state. At the same time, HCA President Jagan Mohan Rao said in a circular, ‘HCA has not received any official email from Sunrisers management. There is no truth in these reports going on on social media. If the email is really found, what is the conspiracy behind leaking information from unknown email instead of the official email of HCA or Sunrisers. This is a conspiracy by some people to tarnish the image of HCA and Sunrisers.
