New Delhi. Actress Sharmila Tagore and cricketer Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi’s wedding was very much discussed in 1968. This was the first time in India when a cricketer pair was made with the actress. The love story of both of them is quite filmy and both of them also got a lot of papad to make this love story successful. Sharmila Tagore left the Brahmin religion for the sake of Mansoor Ali Khan and adopted the religion of Islam and married a cricketer as Ayesha Sultana. The pair combined cinema and cricket together. Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi was called ‘Tiger’ in the field. Mansoor Ali Khan left the Pataudi world, but he was always remembered on the field. But now the England Cricket Board took such a decision, after which Sharmila Tegore’s heart is broken.

Actually, the MAK Pataudi Trophy to be held in the name of Indian cricketer Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi is being retired. The Test series played between India and England began in 2007, which is played in the memory of the first India vs England Test match in 1932. But now the England Cricket Board (ECB) is considering changing it. This decision has not been finalized yet. However, the actress has shown anger to the BCCI.

Sharmila Tagore is not happy with this decision. In a conversation with Hindustan Times, he said that his son Saif Ali Khan has been informed about them. The actress said, ‘I have not received any information from him, but ECB has sent a letter to Saif that he is retiring the trophy. He displeasure was revealed, he said ‘BCCI wants to remember the legacy of’ Tiger ‘or not, it is his decision’. He is ‘hurt’ by this step.

Trophy has retired before?
This is not the first time that ECB has retired a player. There are many such examples in cricket. The Wisden Trophy played between England and West Indies was retired. The trophy is now called ‘Richards-Botham Trophy’ after Vivian Richards and Ian Botham.

This is not the first shock of Pataudi family
This is not the first blow to the Pataudi family this year. A few months ago, Saif was stabbed by an intruder in his house and stabbed when he was trying to protect his family. In January, the Madhya Pradesh High Court directed Saif to go to the Appellate Authority, when the Central Government declared the historical properties of the Pataudi family, which is estimated to be Rs 15,000 crore, as ‘enemy property’.

The couple have three children Saif, Saba and Soha.
