In response to a petition, HCA was instructed by Ombdsman Justice V Ishwariah to remove Azharuddin’s name from the stadium’s North Pavilion Stand. It was alleged in the complaint that Azharuddin had given priority to his interests in deciding during his tenure as the chairman of HCA.

He further said, ‘I will fight a legal battle against this injustice. I also appeal to the BCCI to intervene in this matter and take appropriate action.
