You must have heard that the match fees of many players have been deducted or some cuts have been made in it. So today we will know about what is this match fee and which players are given and how much is it.
In the IPL, match fees are available to those players who are playing in the field. That is, the match fees are paid only in the playing XI and the players who will land as impact player. The BCCI has fixed the match fee of Rs 7.5 lakh for the players. That is, those players will get 7.5 lakh rupees for each match. The player who will sit on the bench will not get even one rupee.
The player who will remain sitting on the bench, will not get even one rupee in the form of match fees. However, the money he will sell in the IPL auction will come to him. As an example, if you understand that Rishabh Pant is not playing for Lucknow and he is sitting on the bench, so he will not get 7.5 lakh rupees for that match. But as much bid on him in the auction (27 crore) that he will go to his account.
90 lakh rupees are spent for every team
90 lakh rupees are spent for every team to pay match fees. If BCCI gives 7.5 lakhs to every 12 player, then he will have to spend a total of 90 lakhs. At the same time, both teams have to spend 1 crore 80 lakh rupees to pay so much money. There are a total of 74 matches in the IPL. If it is multiplied by 1 crore 80 lakhs, then it will be 1332000000 rupees. That is, BCCI has to spend more than 133 crore in the entire IPL.
