Help of 30 thousand rupees a month throughout his life
According to a report by the Times of India, Sunil Gavaskar has come forward to help Vinod Kambli through his Champs Foundation. This organization helps former international sports celebrities who require financial assistance. From April 1, Vinod Kambli will get assistance of Rs 30,000 every month till he survives. Apart from this, he will also get medical assistance of Rs 30,000 annually.

In a conversation with India Today, Sunil Gavaskar had said that he and the 1983 World Cup winning team are very conscious of young players, some of whom are his sons and grandchildren. After this he promised that he wants to take care of Vinod Kambli and help him stand on his feet.
