There will be a stand at the Wankhede Stadium in the name of Rohit Sharma. The Mumbai Cricket Association decided to name the stand during the MCA’s annual general meeting.

MCA gave special honor to Rohit Sharma.
New Delhi. Rohit Sharma has got good news in the middle of the IPL. This good news was given to Hitman by Mumbai Cricket Association. The MCA named one stand (audience gallery or pavilion) after the current Indian Test captain Rohit Sharma, former captain Ajit Wadekar and former BCCI President Sharad Pawar at the Wankhede Stadium on Tuesday. The decision to name the stand was taken during the MCA’s annual general meeting.
According to the proposal passed, the third floor of Divecha Pavilion will now be known as Rohit Sharma Stand. The third floor of the Grand Stand will be named after former ICC chairman Pawar. And the Grand Stand Fourth Talle will be named after Wadekar. Wadekar has played 37 Tests and two ODIs from 1966 to 1974. He gave India a historic victory in the series in West Indies and England in 1971. He died at the age of 77 in August 2018.
MCA President Ajinkya Naik said, “Today’s decisions show our deep respect for Mumbai cricket pillars and our determination to create a strong future.”
Under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma, India won the T20 World Cup. After this, Team India captured the ICC Champions Trophy. Hitman is constantly climbing the ladder of success under his captaincy. He is currently playing in the IPL. Rohit is playing for Mumbai Indians in the IPL.
