New Delhi. Zeeshan Ansari made an IPL debut in Visakhapatnam against Delhi Capitals on behalf of Sunrisers Hyderabad. Zeeshan was included in the Hyderabad team in place of leg -spinner Adam Jampa. Hyderabad lost in the second match after winning the first match in the IPL in a bang. The Hyderabad team would like to return to the winning track against Delhi. Ansari was bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad for Rs 40 lakh in IPL 2025 mega auction. Zeeshan is born in Lucknow. He is 25 years old.

In a conversation with the Times of India, Ansari had said, ‘I took inspiration from players like Shane Warne, Anil Kumble and Piyush Chawla. And studied his bowling deeply. I consider myself lucky that I shared the ground with Piyush Chawla in this league.
Zeeshan Ansari’s father runs a tailor shop in Lucknow
Zeeshan Ansari comes from a simple background. His father Naeem runs a tailor shop in Lucknow. Despite his brilliant performance in the UP T20 League, Ansari did not get a chance to play in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy last season. Ansari is an aggressive leg-spinner and was used in the middle of the UP T20 League in the middle and death overs. Out of the 24 wickets taken in the UP T20 League, he took 14 wickets in the middle overs.
