New Delhi. Harbhajan Singh has opened a huge secret regarding Rishabh Pant and Zaheer Khan. The team of Lucknow Super Giants captain Pant defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad and registered their first win this season of IPL, but during this time their bat remained silent. Pant failed to play a big innings. Harbhajan Singh says that everything is not going well between Pant and LSG’s Mentor Zaheer Khan. Pant is not obeying Zaheer. The position on which Zaheer wants to see Pant batting, Pant is not understanding for himself. Pant was dismissed for 15 off 15 balls against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Harbhajan Singh said on the cricket live show of Star Sports that Zaheer Khan wanted Rishabh Pant to start the innings against Sunrisers Hyderabad. But Pant did not listen to him and he landed for batting at his own place. Pant has not been able to do anything special in two matches in the current IPL. Bhajji said that the thinking of both is not the same. Harbhajan said, ‘Zaheer wants Pant to open but he is adamant for batting in the middle order. Zaheer believes that Pant should open because if he does so, his best performance will be revealed as a batsman. Nicholas Puran or Aden Markram, if you consider them your best player then they should not bat below 4 or 5. So I think Pant should play in the top order. It is surprising that Pant did not listen to Zaheer and he went against his decision.
He was trolled on social media after Pant was dismissed cheaply on the batting of Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium against Sunrisers Hyderabad. On the same wicket, LSG wicketkeeper Nicholas Puran scored 70 runs from 26 balls while Mitchell Marsh played a brilliant innings of 52 runs off 31 balls.
LSG, captained by Rishabh Pant, has won one of the two matches in the IPL this season while he has lost in one. The LSG will take on Punjab Kings in its third match. The match will be played on 1 April. Pant was dismissed on zero in the first match. Harbhajan also wants a batsman like Pant to bat in the opening. He said that if you have batsmen like Pant, Puran and Markram, then you would like that this batter should not bat below fourth or fifth.
